Best resources for starting a community land trust?
Our neighborhood group is interested in forming a community land trust to preserve affordable housing and create space for urban agriculture. Has anyone gone through this process? I'm looking for: - Legal templates or guides - Case studies of successful CLTs - Advice on community organizing and fundraising We're based in California if that matters for the legal aspects. I helped establish a CLT in Oakland a few years ago. Happy to share our bylaws and formation documents - they took a lot of work to develop! The most important thing is building genuine community buy-in before getting into legal structures.
