The Watershed Restoration Project brings together local communities, scientists, and indigenous knowledge holders to restore degraded watersheds in the foothills of the Himalayas near Rishikesh.
Our holistic approach includes native tree planting, natural water retention landscapes, check dams, and revival of traditional water harvesting structures. We work closely with village communities to develop sustainable land management practices that protect water sources for future generations.
Since our founding, we have planted over 50,000 native trees, restored 15 natural springs, and trained 200 community members in watershed management techniques.
